BIDC Deepening Relationships with International Agencies

On Friday August 25, 2019, the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) met with Mr. Didier Trebucq, United Nations Resident Coordinator; Mr. Ugo Blanco, Deputy Resident Representative, Mr. Jari Aaltonen, Barbados Green Technology Cluster Manager; Mr. Rodney Payne, Senior Administrative Officer, Ministry of International Business and Industry at its Head Office.

Discussions were held concerning the various mandates, goals, interests, programmes, projects and activities of the agencies and programs represented. From these discussions, shared interests and opportunities for collaboration were identified.

The BIDC looks forward to deepening the relationships fostered with the UN’s agencies and projects in Barbados. Collaboratively, the agencies, ministries and programmes represented seek to further nurture startups, create a more enabling environment, attract interest and investment and realise greater economic diversification and more sustainable management and business growth around the blue and green economies.
